I feel this way as well, but I would like to see some more depth with the character customization. Like hair dyes for example, but what I would really love to see added to this game is body types. Now I have no clue how hard this is to implement but I just think it would be cool to have different pirate roles almost like a class system. For example the big brute muscular pirates can raise anchor and raise/lower sails much faster than the other classes and have a chance to break a guard of an enemy pirate (that is weaker). The skinny pirates should be fast and quick at slashing and aiming down sights, they should also have less health than normal pirates. Then the normal body pirates I think it would be good if these pirates were just the middle class the all around good body type. Next and this is my favorite idea the big fat pirates, I would love to see these pirates have more health than the regular pirate, but they move slower and don't attack as quick.

I think this would be a great addition to the game and add a much needed overhaul to the combat and just general game play to the game. I feel it would add some strategy to fights and make for some funny crew moments.

Now I see that this will most likely never be added to the game because it interferes with Rares vision for a playground where everyone is equal. I just think this is a fun idea.

I want to hear you're opinion so let me know what you think! :)

Most people don't want their appearance to affect performance. They should however, fix the hit-boxes.

I doubt it will happen.

There is this misguided notion that this game is balanced and everyone is equal. Once you factor in the size of crew, 1-4 vs 1-4, most combat is never going to be balanced. Those who focus on PVP and use weapons for solely that purpose also give them an advantage.

That's the problem with games tying to be both pve and pvp, balancing is painful, nearly impossible...and virtually impractical. Games usually are one or the other, or eventually adopt mechanics for both play styles.

I think there is massive potential for this game, but I don't see it happening, until they decide which side of the fence to sit on.

As far as Sea of Theives, Rare have mentioned that they want all players, new and old, to be on an even playing field.
