By false advertisement I mean that the picture in the shipright shop that shows the grand admiral hull design looks nothing whatsoever like the actual design

It shows a black ship, with a red stripe around the top, and gold trim. Then you buy it, apply it in reality, take a look and...its a bland, one color, washed out yellow...wait, huh? I honestly had to check to make sure I didn’t purchase the wrong one

No black, no red, no design, nothing

And since you need to save up 70,000 gold to purchase it, which takes some considerable time and effort to acquire, well...you want to be happy with your purchase because it’s going to be a long while before you can buy something else

Until today, I honestly wasn’t even sure it was a bug. I just thought it was an extremely lazy and misleading design choice. But when they mentioned it in the patch notes it was like “YES! It was a mistake! Thank you! Can’t wait to see the actual design!”

Then I log in excitedly to check it out and...nothing

Plenty of before, and I can take an after tonight, but the thing is there isn’t really a point. I’m not joking, there is no difference whatsoever. Nothing is changed. I know my sloop pretty well by now (sailed the seven seas together we have) and despite the fact that the patch notes state that the “grand admiral sloop hull livery has been fixed to match the galleon” I can confirm that not a single thing has changed

I’m thinking it got skipped on this patch

I mean, if yellow is your color then I’m sure it’s cool, but the main issue is that it was so falsely advertised

The picture is clearly an all black Hull with a red stripe. The only yellow at all is the minor trim color. Then you apply it and suddenly your ship looks like a canary. The only red at all is the ship railing, and there is no black whatsoever

Well except for a small patch on the back roof

This wouldn’t have been an issue if they’d show you previews at the shop instead of static pictures (and only of the galleon)

Same thing with clothes. You can now see a preview from your clothing chest, but not at the actual store, which is the time a preview would be the MOST helpful. If they can do it at the clothing chest they can do it at the store which makes me think it’s a choice

I think they don’t want you to be able to see how something is going to look before you buy it because they WANT you to impulse buy, and grind even slower, until they have more content released to buy

I really hope they fix this because the design at the shop looks awesome, but on the sloop, in reality it’s not only bland and underwhelming, but also not at all the same colors. It’s just a washed out yellow. It looks unfinished

I’m pretty sure. I had to download a 2gb patch to play. I’m assuming it’s the same one, unless another one is incoming

@wylie28 Update 1.1.3 is now live. I had an update to download this morning when I got on. To OP definitely make sure you file a support ticket to let them know.

@airsicktimelord You sure the update is actually out yet? Last update they put out patchnotes almost a day early.

I have this hull and I love it. I never noticed it wasn't right. Interesting that they stated a fix for it and nothing changed. Maybe their fix didn't make it into the final patch and miscommunication put it in the patch notes.
