Please, for the love of god Rare, let us at least turn those sounds off. Easily the most disgusting sounds I have ever heard. Keep the initial crunch of the banana, but nothing else. I want to puke every time I hear it...
Remove chewing and burping sounds.
Misophonia... one of my friends hates certain sounds too. Someone smacking food in their mouth really affects him. Most people do not feel that way, but it does bother some. Not that I particulalry want to hear someone eating with an open mic near their mouth, but it is only mildly annoying.

I was going to post something similar.
The bananas take me from having a good time to being infuriated. I wear a damn headset. I don't need the sfx of a banana crunching and sliding down some guys throat in my ears!

My friend does this. All the time. I try to politely endure but at some point it’s like dude, stop. I find myself getting cross with my crew then I feel like a donkey.
Asked him once if he had some oral fixation where he can’t go 2 seconds without shoving something in his mouth or vaping. That went over well, as you can imagine. Have some consideration for your crew though.

I kinda feel that way about the puking in general, which is WAY worse than banana burps. I mean COME ON, Puke fights? Really? That s**t starts and I'm up in the crows nest and ready to jump, suddenly wishing I could shoot my crew and thinking about detonating a gunpowder barrel in their disgusting midst.
But that might be my hang up. I don't really expect the game to change it.

You don't expect them to implement a check box for every sound effect in the game now, right? If they start with chewing and burping, the next person will complain about the puking, then pigs grunting, spitting of snakes and so on...
oh yeah.. great idea. Mute sound entirely.
All of those other things are optional. You don't have to drink until you puke. It also isn't even near as obnoxious as the eating sfx is.
I guess i don't have to eat them, but let me tell my crew why I refuse to eat bananas TO HEAL because it's so disgustingly obnoxious.
Chewing directly in ears (headphones) is never okay. Sfx, or being some mic chip muncher. Obnoxious and disgusting. Stop.
No different a request than providing more accessibility for those with colourblindness to me.

I particularly like the burping 'Yep'!
:DI have misophonia, but hearing a character in game burp is not a problem for me.
It gives extra tension when you are hiding from a crew and try to stealthily try to bring your health back up without them hearing.

Maybe that's what we need, is a class action lawsuit for discrimination. I was under the impression that everyone could play regardless of age and my 3 month old son can't even figure out how to select his pirate! WTH RARE!!!

Only sound that drives me insane is that of the pig crying. Don't know if it's more the sound, or the inconvenient timing of it's cry. If I didn't need it for the merchant's quest, I'd put a bullet in that swine so fast.
I've actually killed a couple of golden pigs rather than hear them screaming for more bananas. One of my crew mates was highly skeptical when I claimed my repeated shots from the blunderbuss were all accidents. He tends to get to them faster than I do now.
Then they should add some new firearms like ak47, m4a16, and make it battle royale, than ad a checkbox for every effect in the game, also they should add the ability to fly using Disc shaped UFO, and you know what they should add the ability to toggle invincibility with the press of a button.

This is the reason I don't do pigs lol. It makes me want to bail ship, This is the saddest sound in the game.
