Only, this flag isn't being pushed on anyone. It is just available if you choose to want it. Just like every other flag, sail, hull, and figure head. No one is forced to field any of them. They are just there in case you want them. It is like a soda fountain. You don't have to get Sprite but hey! It's there if you do!

Rainbow flag isn't exclusive, it's about including all, hence the fact it's a rainbow.

@dave-plunder I want to feel empowered also. As a veteran of the U.S military, can I get an American flag? Or a Texas flag. I am a huge fan of the Dont Tread On Me flag, that would make me feel empowered. There are lots of different battle flags from the service that I would love to see. Hey, LGBTQ+ should be empowered as well. Now then, can I get a hook up?

@soggybiscuit204 I don't disagree. I don't disagree in the addition of the flag. I play this game with a RL friend who is part of the gay community.

All I am saying is the way it was handled, and implemented didn't do anyone any favors. Rare could have handled it so much better. Hell just put a rainbow flag in the game and walk away. Bringing specific out of game meanings to it here in the forums just turns it into a lightning rod.

I will be sailing the seas with my rainbow flag to indicate that I am searching for the pot of gold at the end of that rainbow!

@mackdose Sure, its not a gamer community problem its a real world problem. People are disgusting. It is Rare's responsibility to understand their community, and to keep it a fun and safe place for everyone who participates in it. Getting sunk repeatedly for no reason is one thing. Being subject to hate speech is quite another. The way they handled this just bred a huge amount of controversy. So those disgusting individuals who take offense to it will surely take it out on those who they feel are at fault. It is Rares job to be aware of the possible outcomes and fallout of how they handle their business.

I don't think you know what "political correctness" means if you think adding a rainbow flag amounts to it.

It's a flag. It has a rainbow on it. Everything else is just you complaining because you want to:

A) not be reminded of rainbows
B) not be reminded of h********l people

Since no one would complain about rainbows, it must be that second point that makes you uncomfortable to the point where you posted on the forums about it. You should probably examine why you feel this strongly about a zero-impact flag.

And you are saying I’m the one who doesn’t know what political correctness means, it’s a flag, yes, it has a rainbow, yes, Im talking about your second point (option B), yes. But it’s not just like I don’t want to be reminded of that, it’s like isn’t good for the game to be adding this kind of stuff, bringing this political correctness to this game is nonsense, that’s my point, I dont think it’s too difficult to understand the the meaning of my post
