It doesn't kick you anymore for only 1 session? It used to not in beta, and then at launch it did.. will test.

I feel like the One X might be able to do 2 player split. It's running one game at 4k. It can probably run 2 at 720p or maybe 900p.

Unfortunately, this is a microsoft game and microsoft wants people to buy more xboxes. So I don't think they will make this happen. :(

My girlfriend and I play this game "splitscreen"...2 XBox, 2 TV's right next to each other...😎

Despite what some say in the topic, it's very much possible to make almost any game run smoothly enough in split screen on xbox one but there are few things to consider:

• it will look awful, the tradeoff would be massive.
• development time. Every time devs would add new features etc, they'd have to make sure it also runs well enough in split-screen.

Unfortunately it's way more complicated than deciding how the screens would be separated.

This is impossible to happen... The Xbox already have troubles to rendering and process all this information with only one player.. multiply that for the split screen... It would put the Xbox on fire..
Not mention the ping issue to the server you'd be experiencing in your crew of split screen...

You have an option for "split" the room.
Since it's play anywhere, you can play on your Xbox with the main account and on PC with other account..
I do this with my girlfriend.

Unfortunately, early in development, split screen mode was deemed to power hungry to be feasible to implement and as such has not and probably never will be. This does mean the game can suck all the resources to create a beautiful enriched world with smooth performance for all.

I always wondered why 2 people couldn't play on the same Xbox.
When my mate comes round it's annoying that one of u has to watch while the other plays SoT. It would be nice if we could both play.

I dont think the xbox could handle this. It can barely run the game correctly right now
