Before I get myself too excited of the potential of being attacked by Meg on a sloop after the event and when she’s released to roam free. Anyone know if sloops can be attacked by Meg after the event?

@purplemajic Nobody knows just yet, but since Karen also doesn't actively go after sloops I would hope Megan doesn't either.
@purplemajic all i know its u can mostly solo the beast on a sloop happen last night the gally with us was new players they get sunk after 2 shark attack so only one of them survive and get in my sloop a 3 man sloop vs the beast and we won lol was time to beat it finish with no more plank no more bullet and 2 cannonball we reached merrick with my partner bailing all way back what a night lol
@purplemajic Good question but as Musicmee suggested I think that they would do the same as the kraken and steer clear of the little guys.
Here's hoping. :o)@purplemajic I've fought the Meg twice once on a sloop and once on a galleon with a sloop joining us. Both times the Meg would mercilessly target the sloops more than the galleons. so going off of that I would say yes but of course won't know for sure until she is released.
We experienced the opposite, the galleon usually gets attacked more, there might be some kind of aggro table going on though..
Well I think it will but probably not be as difficult as original Meg.
Merrick mentions after beating Meg that he hopes there isn’t more of them out there. To me, that’s Rare telling us to be ready.
I’m also hoping they roam like the storms do. So you can see the fin gliding through the water. Get too close and it attacks or if you attack it attacks.
Also, read in Facebook but give us a “Monset Hunter faction. So more we kill these beasts, we unlock tattoos and ship cosmetics tied to these beasts

I am pretty sure there is. In my second encounter, we had two on a sloop. However, we abandoned it and swam to the galleon to work below deck, repairing and baling. The sloop bobbed on the waves, un-crewed and unmolested, until the end of the fight.
@iduskk we did our first galleon of me, Hubby, and our son and not even 5 minutes leaving the outpost the kraken attacked us. It was fun.

I can just imagine all the forum post now from solo sloopers in the near future@purplemajic Yeah the kraken and Megs were both fun the first time 'round.
However each time you face either of them it just seems easier to defeat 'em and / or break free.It should attack sloops. It's a travesty that the Kraken ignores sloop as it is.
Doesn't matter if the meg keeps its current strength either (being a pushover), since you can easily avoid a fight by sailing to an island where the water is shallow. They'll never allow the AI to swim there either way, so it would literally never be an issue.

I still enjoy the kraken because i dont use galleons to often. And i wish the sloop had a similar encounter to shake things up.If they dropped anything or gave rep, they would be more popular@nwo-azcrack said in Megaladon and Sloops:

In an early stage of the game, not sure if it was the full release or a beta, but we saw a galleon being repeatedly tossed in the air by the kraken, like a kitten playing with a ball of wool / yarn.
The galleon was thrown unrealistically high but it was amusing to watch.@admiral-rrrsole it did other night. It attacked a galleon close to Shark Bait so I Slooped over to help. It ended up taking me and that Galleon out (only had 2 people on it). I managed to swim back to Shark Bait once Sloop went down though.

I said it would be cool if the kraken would attack muliple ships at the same time and I think that you must be talking about the megalodon (big fish). loledit: My apologies mate. After reading the reply above yours I see it is possible.

We were once held up by the kraken and a sloop took position right next to one of its tentacles and proceeded to fire its cannon at us without being harmed by the beast.
I do recall a video on YouTube of something like 18 players on a sloop which ended up being caught by the kraken but that was during one of the beta stages I think.
@admiral-rrrsole when i get off work I'll make the video showing my sloop and a Galleon fighting one. Then we both get Wrapped up simultaneously
@musicmee In a way. I just keep seeing scenes from Jaws. It just attacks to attack and sometimes you get to live and other times not. I mean we are pirates and we need some tales to tell exaggeratedly. 😜
