Boat names

    I can't help but notice the name plates above the Captain's cabin on the boat. I would love the option to name my boat. It should have a name plate on the stern as well. Maybe even on the port and starboard bow. Being able to identify the boat crew from previous encounters would add depth to pvp as well.
    Going a step further, marking your boat with exterior medals when you sink an enemy would be awesome. Clearing away after logging out, restarting when logging in. Something as simple as chevrons that appear after every sink may encourage people to not server hop so often. As to keep the decorated ship.

    @captgraykid i think itll happen but they probably need a way to prevent profane names from appearing on boats because we all know what will happen if it goes unfiltered

    i thought i read somewhere this was supposed to be a feature in the captaincy update or what something along those lines? This would be a cool feature to add. I do like it.

    I wonder though, some sort of moderation would need to go into this. There would be a ton of crazy nasty names lol

    If you've played any other Microsoft backed game like Halo, you'd know that they have a pretty extensive list of no-no words (ex. "d****o" is not allowed as a map name in Halo 5 Forge)

    EDIT: as you can see I can't even say D-O-O-D-O-O on these forums XD
