I was finally able to log in to Xbox App on PC, but haven’t tried the game yet. (Laundry called.)

Yea the issues are still persisting but I have personally just managed to log in.

I'm currently getting "Lavenderbeard Errors" every time I try and start the game.

So I've given up and gone back to playing something else.

Error messages are going to be the death of this game (if the lack of content hasn't killed it already!)

Since the UI change during closed beta - I have wondered if the ‘checking for fake coin’ prompt was maybe an anti-cheat/anti-mod gateway of Rare’s back-end...

Comparatively, some games have more comical loading messages (ie: LEGO worlds, Minecraft etc) which are just indicators of asset/environment loading with a funny twist on them.

Back in the day, games would have keys unique to the game copy for verification/copy protection, then keygens and no-CD cracks came along - ultimately evolving to our modern digital signatures and licensing.

Being crossplay (which I love and support) I do hope that Rare adopts (or enables/strengthens) some sort of gateway for anti-cheat, authenticity and/or unsigned code check. Two-fold this is not just to protect their intellectual property from copyright infringement - but also to combat any unfair advantage/exploits that are created.

It’s inevitable these days, unfortunate sometimes when so many great people are so committed to the community SoT has created - cheats, hacks and exploits just to ‘be first’.

An example - Pokémon Go had a huge launch success and created a new type of player interaction and game culture - very soon after, mods and hacks were created and the ‘real life’ player base dropped off noticeably because people could move around within the game without the physical effort.

A different type of game, but some lessons to be learned by example.

Those are my thoughts on the ‘checking for fake coin’ prompt - I hope the issue clears up for the OP and doesn’t prevent you from playing - but I’d definitely submit a report through a formal ticket.

I'm on xbox one and mine won't even get passed the first black screen after the title before it crashes D: I feel your pain. I even moved it from internal storage to external and then removed altogether only to install again and have same issue
