New Monster = Tamatoa

  • Foreshadowed by small crab at beginning of teaser. Requires a sacrifice, treasure most likely, and Tamatoa loves himself treasure. Hard exoskeleton.

  • Can we get a voyage where we take on Quetzalcoatl?

I also want an adventure involving Poisiden, but we don't fight him. We just make such a nuisance of ourselves that he gives us the quest reward just to get rid of us.

  • @a-trusty-mango

Quetzalcoatl has challenged Karkinos' power and they are locked in titanic struggle. Hurry crafty pirate! Slip past the warring demigods and snatch away whatever divine bounty you can find!

  • @a-trusty-mango did Karkinos fancy treasure?

  • @a-trusty-mango

Just curious, but as another water-based deity, would Cthulu be ally or rival?

  • @a-trusty-mango he is shiny. I would imagine that he reflects light and that light would be just as bright as they appear from earth(?), what's more it is very likely he will have more stars reflecting off his treasures than Karkinos is comprised of. Also, the video highly suggests that you can summon him by way of playing a song. Could 'shiny ' be added to the list of melodies? Is Karkinos even one for music?

  • @a-trusty-mango

    Okay, gotcha.

I'll have to add that to the flow chart.

How about a public event where you are forced to choose a side?! Prepare for war!

@king-brouille The shine of gold will only reach so far, mortal. Walk a mile and see if you spot your gold in the dark.

Now walk a mile and look up and see if you spot Karkinos gleam in the night.

Picses, the great fish would like a word with you.

    As would Cthulhu.

  • @bearcubbin

    Whoever wins, we lose?

  • @a-trusty-mango said in New Monster = Tamatoa:

@blam320 Snort. Karkinos fears no weak gods who were afraid of Typhon and pleaded Zeus for escape, in which he turned them into fish.

    Karkinos died attacking Herakles.

And Karkinos isn't afraid of Typhon, the Father of Monsters?

  • @a-trusty-mango said in New Monster = Tamatoa:

@king-brouille HOW DARE YOU BLASPHEME AGAINST KARKINOS WITH A PALTRY IMITATION OF HIM

    ALL HAIL THE MAGIC CONCH

  • @king-brouille That would make a great rarely seen inclusion running into the water of some islands. Jump on it to shoot or sword swipe it's head for a huge gold amount and achievement award.

  • @admiral-rrrsole whoa. Didn't even think of that. Make it an impossible adversary BUT the longer you hang the more loot you chip off. Or maybe it can be beat but is 10-fold harder than the Kraken... maybe more

  • @a-trusty-mango said in New Monster = Tamatoa:

@rattlyfob BLASPHEMER, YOU DARE SAY THE MIGHT OF KARKINOS IS BUT A MERE MAGIC SHELL?

    whispers into the conch
"Shh Shh he just doesn't understand yet"
"No I don't think we can kill him yet"
    "He will learn"
Cough cough The conch has warned me that you may want to change your perspective on the scale of its power. Never doubt the conch.

  • Whoa. Interesting convo I stumbled across.Y’all got any more of that fancy devils lettuce?

  • @a-trusty-mango said in New Monster = Tamatoa:

@blam320 Karkinos with no hesitation attacked the son of Zeus.

    No, he is not.

Which one? Zeus can't seem to keep his thunder in his pants, so he's left quite a few super-powered children around.

  • I'll pass. I don't care for tomatoes.

  • @a-trusty-mango said in New Monster = Tamatoa:

@rattlyfob IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN GOD, SO BE IT, JUST LIKE THE OTHER WHO WORSHIP THE FALSE CRAB. MINE IS POWERFUL.

    @Blam320 HERAKLES

You were sent to distract Herakles while he did battle with the hydra, yet were swiftly defeated with a single blow from the mighty demi-god, without so much as a sideways glance.

Your so-called "crab god" is an afterthought, not even worth mentioning next to the far more dangerous Hydra.

  • @a-trusty-mango said in New Monster = Tamatoa:

@blam320 And yet, Karkinos resides in the stars now for that brave act.

He did not beg or plead to be saved from a foe he knew to be too powerful.

He was commanded to do so by Hera, who rewarded a meager act that bore no consequence on the results of Herakles' struggle.

  • @a-trusty-mango said in New Monster = Tamatoa:

@blam320 And yet he still did so knowing it would be his doom. Karkinos is loyal.

And yet you want to bring up full on Gods that were terrified enough to beg Zeus for help and so he turned them into fish. A apt punishment for weaklings. And not only that, they then got trapped in the stars.

If a giant crab has more balls then two full gods, I will go with the crab anyday.

The crab got utterly destroyed in one hit.

Not to mention I highly doubt it even knew what it was doing. Unlike the Gods.
