I had some ideas i want to share with you all.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>Before we start</strong>:<br>
-I apologize for my english, which is not perfect.<br>
-Similar ideas might have been posted by someone else before, i dont know that.<br>
-I did not want to sort the topics, bcs of lazyness.<br>
-A few topics only make sense if you read the whole thing.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>1: Safe Zone</strong><br>
Remember Tortuga?<br>
A central hideout for all factions and pirates, a hidden island village, the biggest tavern, all the shops <em>(no companies-traders)</em>, a harbor for your ship, a few games in which you can win or loose gold.</p>
<p dir="auto">For this to work, the island would have to be in a kind of parralel world where weapons and cannons can not be used.</p>
<p dir="auto"><em><strong>Things we could do there:</strong></em><br>
-Chat with people.<br>
-Buy yourself new clothes or other stuff.<br>
-Drink Grog together and party hard.<br>
-Show them your ship.<br>
-Games!</p>
<p dir="auto"><em><strong>Games, a way to pass the time or settle a dispute. With bets! Pirates want gold.</strong></em><br>
-Arm wrestling.<br>
-Card game. <em>(Black Jack?)</em><br>
-1 on 1 pistol-duel in a shooting range.<br>
-Crew saber fight<br>
-A drunken race!<br>
-Parcour <em>(drive a parcour with your ship and shoot targets)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>2: Enemies</strong><br>
We need more enemies, more weird opponents. What about the British?<br>
Instead of skeletons, other enemies would be nice.<br>
Can also be well connected with voyages.</p>
<p dir="auto">-Enemies with a touch of the british, the spanish or the french navy.<br>
-Ghosts, pirate legends and crew who never find peace.<br>
-Cursed pirates who morphed into fishlike creatures <em>(not mermaids)</em> and haunt shipwrecks.<br>
-Not necessarily enemies, but we need more animals on land, maybe some who fight back?<br>
-Mermaids, we should be able to hunt them. We are pirates.<br>
-Big mutated animals on land and in caves.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>3: Kraken</strong><br>
The Kraken is cool and all, but what about a gigantic crab appearing in the fog and picking people from the ship?<br>
In addition, it would be really good if the octopus would drop a box when he dies. <em>(fried calamari anyone?)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>4: Food</strong><br>
Lower the healing value of bananas and add more food!<br>
Instead of going on a chicken-killingspree we could go fishing <em>(new item, fishing rope!)</em>, find rare hard tacks <em>(sea biscuits)</em> and maybe the legendary kraken drops some of his tasty calamari rings!<br>
The harder to get, the more health it gives.<br>
What about a chest we need to fill with kraken-rings and bring it to the merchant alliance? Money.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>5: Dropping Loot</strong><br>
A killed pirate should drop a small amount of gold, so that he thinks before he acts.<br>
But, the more players you kill, the more ships you wreck, the higher the bounty on your head and the more gold you drop.<br>
<em>(The amount should be very small so that no one breaks his neck on this.)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>6: Bulletin Board Events</strong><br>
<em><strong>Bounty:</strong></em><br>
Once every few hours, the pirate with the highest bountys get a wanted poster + name on the bulletin board on each outpost and gets tracket every now an then.<br>
If a pirate kills this wanted pirate, he gets a price from the bulletin board guy.<br>
If the wanted pirate survives the phase, he gets the price!</p>
<p dir="auto"><em>(Sound familiar? I copied it from gta.)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><em><strong>Scavenger Hunt:</strong></em><br>
Every few hours a scavenger hunt appears on the bulletin board and gives you a hint where to find the next hint, which will someday lead to the great treasure. But every participating crew searches the same treasure this time!</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>7: Kill-Feed</strong><br>
No world-wide Killfeed, only between your crew and their crew. I want to know who i destroyed.<br>
<em>(also helps identify cheaters.)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>8: Report</strong><br>
Please insert a button that leads me directly to the report form.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>9: Grenades</strong><br>
Nothing extreme, just stink bombs that blur the view and makes them move slow.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>10: Visibility</strong><br>
Please increase the visibility of players on ships, so we see what they are doing.<br>
And please decrease the visibility of names, so we dont get spotted that easy under water.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>11: Ships</strong><br>
<em>(A new ship was revealed recently, but i still want to share my idea about the ships with you.)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><em><strong>The Sloop</strong></em>, 1 mast, 2 cannons, 1-2 players. <em>(stays like it is)</em><br>
<em><strong>The Brigg</strong></em>, size betweed the sloop and galleon, 2 masts, 4 cannons, 2-3 players.<br>
<em><strong>The Galleon</strong></em>, 3 masts, 6 cannons <em>(looses 2!)</em>, 3-4 players.<br>
<em><strong>The Barquentine</strong></em>, fkn big, 4 masts, 8 cannons, 4-5 players.</p>
<p dir="auto"><em>(If we could customize the interior and cannons, that would be great too!)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>12: Shiploot</strong><br>
Everyone knows the struggle, we need more cannon balls, but we cant leave the raid without loosing the advantage.<br>
After an shipfight, the barrels containing bananas, cannon balls and planks should float back to the watersurface like chests, so we can loot them.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>13: Map</strong><br>
I know there will be a new part to the sea for +50, but an enlargement oft he standard sea would be great too!</p>
<p dir="auto">(also good for my raid idea, further down.)</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>14: Dinghy Boats</strong><br>
Yesterday we fought two other galleons over a skull raid. They were stubborn and kept coming back, which lead to an lack of resources on our ship, which finally got us killed.</p>
<p dir="auto">Do not get me wrong here, we enjoyed the fights and stuff, but a little more time for the raid itself would be much better.</p>
<p dir="auto">I know the ships spawn now a little more further away, but i have an better idea!</p>
<p dir="auto"><em><strong>Dinghy Boats!</strong></em><br>
A rowing boat with 4 seats that can be controlled by one person. <em>(like a gondolier)</em><br>
You can tie the boat to your ship, either pull it behind you or tie it to the side like a lifeboat.<br>
You can use it as you like, transport people, treasures or go on a sightseeing-tour.</p>
<p dir="auto"><em><strong>And if your ship sinks!...</strong></em><br>
Instead of spawning with the ship <em>(as we are used to)</em>, we spawn with the dinghy and have to row to a shipwright in order to get a new ship.<br>
If you are brave enough, go with the dinghy to a raid!<br>
If there will be a bigger ship with a deeper draft, the dinghy would be perfect for transfering your treasures, its faster than swimming.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>15: Crewchat</strong><br>
A chat, exclusively for your crew.<br>
So no one else hears, how fkd up you really are.</p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>16: Story</strong><br>
No, not a complete storymode.<br>
A quest that sends you on a legendary journey, telling you the story of whatever, and with progress of the journey, more and more about the story gets revealed and ultimately leads to a rare treasure that can not be sold, but decorates your ship and shows everyone what you capable of.</p>
<p dir="auto"><em>(Cooler stuff than just the cosmetics, maybe adds a figurine into the captains cabin, or gives you a funny statue of Davy Jones somewhere on the ship!)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>17: Raids</strong><br>
Here i want to get into different types of raids, not the whole system, but the art of locations.<br>
If we insert other AI-enemies like spanish, ghosts, mystical creatures etc… we can give them a home and go raid it!</p>
<p dir="auto">-Stoneforts, like navy bases oft he spanish.<br>
-Mystical islands on the back of a floating sea turtle.<br>
-Really big and cursed ships with ghosts on them.<br>
-Underwater ruins with fishpeople!</p>
<p dir="auto"><em>(These could only spawn for a raid instead of being permanent on the map.)</em></p>
<p dir="auto"><strong>Thats all for now!</strong><br>

The reason behind the safe-zone:<br>
It is intended to meet new people, if weapons would be available there, there would always be campers and people would stop going there.</p>
<p dir="auto">But yes, safe-zones would limit the freedom, for that reason there should be only one safe-zone without the possibility to sell your chests/skulls etc.</p>

<p dir="auto">I am mostly against a pve server over a pvp server but i do like your ‘Tortuga’ social hub idea, i promised myself never to speak its name again but ‘the tower’ in Destiny was a great example of the kind of thing i imagined. Minigames would be awesome, arm wrestling and whats that game they play with a knife, gradually speeding up stabbing it between the fingers, that would fit into the world well. Can’t remember its name though lol.</p>

I do not like the idea of safe zones, I think safe zones will make the game less "free". If you get to know a crew good enough, they prob wont kill you and if they do, you know you can't trust them :P I think the oppertunity to be betrayed/betray others make the game more pirate alike.</p>
