Longbeard connection problem

  • Hey, I‘m always getting disconnected after 20-25 minutes of playing Sea of Thieves. It's similar to the Cyanbeard connection problem, which I had before. Now after fixing it, the message is with Longbeard (which isn't in the forum). Does it mean something different or do I have the same problem, as if I would have the Cyanbeard bug?

  • I am also having this problem constantly. If it is a matter of a small lag spike happening and the game responding by just disconnecting me then this needs to change. Every other game I play deals with this by simply lagging for a second and then continues. Kicking me from the game and causing me to lose all progress I had made is not an acceptable response. I love the game. Looks great, and has a lot of potential to be a great game. But if this does not get fixed soon you will not be seeing me on these seas again. At least for a long while.

  • I get this error at least four times a day, sometimes more. It's one reason why I don't do voyages solo, because it's almost guaranteed that I will lose my progress.

    Just the other day, I was partnered with a good friend of mine and we were ambushed by another sloop. We had an abundance of Villainous Skulls on board, which we'd required after a considerable amount of time doing Order of Souls voyages. He launches himself over to the other ship, leaving me in charge of patching up the holes we received during the battle. RIGHT as I was about to plug up the one causing the most issue, I was "disconnected." That error caused us to sink and lose everything.

    I managed to capture the incident and share it with The Kraken's Spawn, the fleet that I'm a part of, and many of them have had similar issues. Thing is? A majority of us are Xbox players. So obviously this bug isn't just confined to those who can (or who opt to) play on PC. It's a serious issue, and one that could have catastrophic consequences in the long run. Imagine trying to solo an Athena's Fortune voyage by yourself! If you're known to experience these issues, it'd be quite literally impossible to accomplish!

  • @nexrum so when rare fix it this issue??? They read the forum? I open a segnalation for longbeard but nothing ...the game is unplayable

  • @Paulkite83 No idea. But the game oddly was far more stable yesterday, despite the occasional visit from Almondbeard.

  • @nexrum my sister has the same problem when using a wireless connection on a gen 1 xbox, maybe that has something to do with it

  • @lord-pharqwad I am playing on a regular Xbox One, and am having this error a lot whereas the two other XBox One S's in our household seem to hold strong and have yet to throw an error. Perhaps it is age of equipment, but I concur wholeheartedly that being disconnected and losing all progress because of a lag bottleneck on our hardware-end is not acceptable. =/
