Is ALT+F4 really the only way that you can exit out of the game without logging into the game and selecting exit to desktop?
If you are in game and select leave game, it takes you back to the main game screen, but you can not exit to desktop unless you hit ALT+F4 or log back in and select exit to desktop from the in game menu. Seems odd.
Am I missing something?

the option to ''exit to desktop'' actually only froze my game (at least until yesterday) too.
alt-F4 seems to be the only viable thing right now...
@ixxolos I do, I think I didn't notice because most of the time I play with my xbox controller, thanks, that works... but still seems odd to not have it in the main menu.
Actually - simply push 'ESC' should be enough to get the menu up, from which you can choose 'Exit Game'
Aternatively to 'ALT-F4' you could try 'ALT-ENTER' if you're running in fullscreen mode. This will put you into windowed mode, and you can then click the 'X' top right of the window.
