the developers should at least add basic colors for ship cosmetics with no patters or special details. just primary colors, such as red, black, yellow, etc. dont make them extremely expensive either. cosmetic progressing only seems to be limited to your player, because there are cheap cosmetics items and expensive cosmetic items. for ship customization, its only really expensive items.
while i'm on the topic, may also suggest adding different tiers for ship cosmetics:
Tier 1: only primary colors. no secondary colors. cheap price
Tier 2: primary and secondary colors. average price
Tier 3 (current): primary and secondary colors with insignia. high price.
Tier 4 (current Level 50 faction): Primary and secondary colors. insignia. more detail. expensive price.
Tier 5: hull/sail model change. extremely expensive price.
