Opened ticket with Rare and said it was solved. Apparently. If preordered past Jan 26, you will have to wait. Such BS, I love the game but this is beyond weak sauce. I hope to get a nice compensation. How does a group of players not receive DLC? Company employee error ... can't think of a better reason.
@ricklames02 I pre-ordered through Amazon, and have not received my Black Dog pack code. On top of that, we were supposed to get a Black Flintlock Pistol for watching their #SoTVoyage live stream on Mixer, and I haven't gotten that either.

No argument you have written in this thread is valid.
You got to first understand, that a pre-order bonus is a bonus you get when the game/expansion goes live. It's something that will "help" you to begin with.
For example, in Far Cry 5 you have some weapon skins and clothes. It will help you a little so you look a bit decent until you can buy some better items after played some.
For example. Guild Wars 2 gave out "Hero's Band" which gave a tiny bit of stats which "helped" to begin leveling and then later one became useless.
Now lets talk about the pre-order for Sea of Thieves and the difference.
Sea of Thieves dont have any stats, so it's rewards are mostly based on cosmetics, we both can agree on this because it's the truth.
So we players who pre-ordered to also get the Black Dog Pack are entitled players who has still not gotten our items. And at first they mentioned that it would come the 21th, then the 23rd then early next week (this week) and now sometime this week.
With a game that is having it's end-game resorting to actually gaining cosmetics you can actually say that we have been left out on a piece of end-game equipment, since no matter if you are pirate legend on 1/1/1 you might say "The best hat is still the one from the black dog pack" since it does not get useless since we never out level it.
This does not matter how much x gold you made in y days. It has absolutely zero points to it and it's just showing how hard you are trying to white knight this game. Why don't you stand aside a bit and watch how this unfolds between us who are left behind and how Rare will handle this issue? Since at this moment you can pretty much say that they not really done a good job at solving this.
So while you are trying to act like a pillar of the community, I urge you to stop. As you can see, your replies, are not helping anyone in this thread because you are strongly sided with rare because you were not a victim to this.
@ricklames02 I'm a little uncertain here if you're talking about the Black Dog pack or about the code so you can redeem the Black Dog pack.
I have been talking with Xbox support as 8 days after launch, I still haven't received my code for the Black Dog pack despite my pre-ordering the game.
I have found out that sending the code to people is Microsoft's duty. There are many people who are upset with Rare but if you're awaiting a code then your displeasure needs to be directed towards Microsoft and their shocking apathetic conduct regarding this very incendiary topic.
I do understand, as I'm one of the affected people but perhaps we should know where the blame lies before venting our frustration.
Microsoft said that codes will be received within 7-10 days after launch and if not received to contact them after this time has passed. Little consolation, more of an insult really. We all realise the code should've been received prior to launch day, but still, in my case it's Microsoft with whom the blame lies and not Rare.

OK whilst Rare have finally posted a quick note re Black Dog pack it wasn't done in a way that was instructive.
- On your Win 10 PC go to the Xbox Application and open it.
- At the top right corner there is a message icon
- click on the messages icon and your messages drop down
- One of those messages should be "Thanks for Pre-Ordering Sea of Theives ...etc"
- Click on the message to see full detail and the Redeem button.
- Click on "redeem" code and follow instructions on screen
If you are currently logged in you will need to log out and back in to see the new items.
Those items show up in your Cosmetics/Vanity chest for use.
@nyadc85 yeah and still grinding precludes because I didn't know if I was going to fall through some cracks on some content that may or may not come I just use my gold For clothing instead of ship upgrades, I have the code now but that doesn't change the in game investments, now its back to the grind

The issue is that there is no message.
Not how to read the message. I think everyone is able to redeem the code once the message is actually in the inbox.Ditto on still not getting the black dog items, I pre-ordered the day before launch, through amazon, and they immediately sent the code, but when I try to redeem it gave me the "code already redeemed", and I can't remember if I had redeemed it the night I bought the game or not.
Kinda sucks the only redeeming thing about shelling out 60 bones for this game with the amount of content it has, and the only end game stuff to work for is cosmetic, I can't even get the pre order cosmetics I was supposed to get.
Hopefully they get this stuff sorted out soon. (and add more content)

Don't think of it as a grind. Think of it as a fun few hours a day sailing on the high seas. With added death thrown in.
Same here i still missing my Code last week i did read they would sending out all missing codes to the end of the Week, Two days ago i asked the Support where my code is because i didnt get it last week, so they sayed to the End of this Week its send out. Now i wonder is the end of the Week Friday because they mean official Worktime? Or is it Sunday?
Also why was the pistol stripped from the black dog pack and used to give to mixer watchers as you can see it's the exact same look as the black dog stuff even though it didn't say there was a pistol in the preorder you can clearly see it was meant to be a part of the black dog set' but it looks like they stripped it from the pack just to give it free to mixer watchers' pretty underhanded the way that was done...

Also never got it, Imy beginning to think maybe I slipped through the cracks or made a bad investment with my money pre-ordering it I should have just waited a week and bought the game when it dropped.
I can tell you that would have been disappointing too.
