He does quality reviews. It's not about his style, but the actual reviews, that actually give a fair opinion of games. Most reviews today are just PR.

Of course, but he does a well rounded review, mentioning both the good and the bad. I've watched his reviews for years and they are just more honest and direct than most reviews.
I agree with the reviews core conclusion.
Great mechanics, beautiful game, awesome potential, but shallow level of content.

Yeah. He was tougher on the game than i would have been. He said with content it would have been 9/10 or 10/10, but because of the lacking content it got 4/10. He did praise the graphics, controls, concept etc. 4/10 is a bit too harsh, but I do see his points.

Quality is arbitrary as what people seem as quality differs from person to person.

If you feel anyone is forcing you to care, then maybe your nihilistic outlook on life makes you see things that are not real.
He seemed pretty much on point with everything to me. This game should be selling at 20-30 dollar tops. The utter lack of content and constant bugs (having to flick on/off push to talk every load, weapons randomly disappearing from your inventory, etc) definitely feels like an early access title.
Rare needs to take this criticism to heart and pull a 180 on some very poor design decisions (I'm looking at you cosmetics), or this game will quickly go the way of No Man's Sky.
@joe-gallows Exactly, Joe doesn't sugar coat anything at all. He tells it like it is for most game reviews that I've seen. And I've been watching him on youtube for years doing quality game reviews
@joe-gallows I had several people play the game and they all gave it a 6/10, mainly because of the unique design and character put into the small details. Even the Pve got really boring but sailing through storms and crazy waves was great
@weepaperboats He played this game around E3 and enjoyed it a lot. Since then, and trying the game now, its obvious that his expectations for the game were high and was ultimately let down. He meets up with developers and gives them a chance/feedback too, however, he is very critical of games that lack design and development
