Freeze over Freeze

  • every 10-30 minutes into the game , freeze !!

    i run
    AMD FX-8350
    16GB 1866 ddr3
    MSI R7 370 4g
    Crimson driver 18.2.1

I tried downgrade driver and not even 17.11.X upwards can handle this , its the same problem over and over
like i read in other threats this is AMD related ?
no AMD driver can handle this game , or the game cant handle AMD ?
in every xbox and ps is AMD hardware right ?

no other game on my PC has a problem

i try to enjoy SoT but its so annoying

  • I feel your pain my friend..

  • @kkl1ckk I have the exact same issue. I usually am able to play for about an hour before it freezes.

I'm running the optional 18.3.3 that specifically says supports Sea of Thieves. If this doesn't get corrected soon SoT will officially be nicknamed the "Sea of Freeze". #SeaOfFreeze?

  • Feel free to Raise a Support Ticket to detail your issue and potentially gain advice on how to remedy the issue.

    Thanks heaps!

  • @xpvtx
i saw that 18.3.3. support sea of thieves or atleast some optimization ?!
but the hope was destroyed by the next freeze i had xD

so for now i decieded to with a non optional driver ...

i mean AMD already tried too solve something , now its Rare´s Step to do something

@Pikaaroon i already did and i already did my best to solve everything in my end , i have no problems with other games and unreal engine is very common , so like i sayed its Rare to do a right Step now

  • Having the same issues with a AMD rx 490

  • Sam here, running 18.3.3 version and the game freeze every 20 min,its so annoying
    No fix yet?

  • Just turn off IPv6 in your router, that's the problem. You have to use IPv4.

  • i use IPv4

i got an answer from support , with a link i iam not allowed to see xD
    well played support ...

  • @kkl1ckk Disabled your "Shader Cache" and turn your "Lighting Effects" to "Cursed". It's not the best looking setting but it did resolve the freezing issue for me.
