@aoct-ragequit Overwatch rented servers from Amazon for launch day and had a pretty flawless release. It isn't hard. When you know your game is getting popular, you have to make up for it. But the things that are broken are the only things that make the game a game. The servers and Doing Missions/Getting Rewards for the missions. If they couldn't handle that then there is a problem.
A Game Ruined Before It Took Off
@edemardil I think we all get the point, that the game has a few flaws, which I by the way did not experience yet. Yeah, the rewards get their count a bit late and there are disconnects every once in a while, but that's nothing I haven't experienced already. Other games started even worse.
BUT the real problem is: We, the people who buy pre-orders, make it common and easy for publishers and developers to rip us off with unfinished games! Like with the game ''The Division'' - we pay a s**t ton of money for alphas and pre-orders shoving money into the publishers butt's not even aware of the content we get. Mostly to be left unsatisfied, because there are no updates coming or the game becomes plain boring and repetitive.

Even when I had replied advising you to read the whole thread before moving forward, and even after pointing out the comment out to you where I quintessentially say that am not complaining about the "free skins". I would, however, surmise that people being promised something, even though it is "free" (which I could contest that I paid full price for this game so nothing in it is free) and not getting it is still "wrong".
I would advise you to try and read the whole thread before you reply. On any thread. That way you don't look so ignorant or dunderheaded, which you have done here. I'll be honest..... if you're playing this game for anything more than the player interaction, you're going to be disappointed in a couple months anyways.
@edemardil Of course there is a problem and it lies mostly around the server not being able to handle all of the traffic, we can think ourself lucky as well that there isnt some brat ddosing the servers as well and to be fair comparing Rare to the all mighty Blizzard thats been digging for money with HoTS ingame store, WoW's monthly subscription & ingame store for 14 years and Overwatch's loot box system is a tad bit unfair but i see your point yes.
Im just glad (from what i know) that we are not going to get a fee for monthly sub. Since im pretty sure i havnt touched my Xbox sub since i got a better PC.
But this game is far from ruined before it took off, the servers will ease in the traffic in a couple of days and with this the patches along the way will surely help and the money that didnt got added with the rep should be added in as everything works out.

Good points! I appreciate your comments and mature approach to the discussion, as this is turning out to being hijacked by immature trolls. Like you, many people understood my post. I know it could/would be fixed. I am commenting on the fact that it seems that things that should have been prepared for have not been. The fact that the games vital systems aren't working on release day after so many stress tests and that they weren't prepared for the server numbers is honestly, dumb. (Don't even get me into the fact that they put their brand new game on game pass!)

The other responders are also correct in that no game of the last few years has been released without real problems and the need for immediate patching, and often they underestimate the surge of new players and can't seem to support the load.
For 60.00, we should get a polished game. That works well, and works as advertised. Sadly, this is not the norm, any longer. And after many alphas and betas and a few load scale tests, they should have gotten this right, but it seems by now, a day later, the game is stabilized and folks can get in and play the advertised game. I sympathize with you, but in this age of paid alpha and beta, and even some games that are now asking you to pay hundreds of dollars to get into an alpha (Star Citizen DayZ, Ashes of Creation), its hard to tell which path is preferable.

Sure I have also had some rewards delay as well, but Rares developer thing they released said that 4x the amount of people got the game on day one as the last free and open beta. I think that they were using that free beta to get an idea of how many players would actually get the game.
I think Rare may have underestimated the free 14 day gamepass trial effect. And it likely will not get that much better until those 14 days have passed, as it doesnt make sense to provision more hardware for folks that may not stick around.

Goblobsters thanks mate. I appreciate comments like yours. Fortunately, most of the things are working or semi working right now and hopefully this downtime will fix that.
So I thought I was overreacting too. But I remembered the reasons for all the test servers. My point was that after all the tests and alphas and betas, the problems were the main functions of the game. Even games that had bugs at start you were at least able to play. Two main functions: Servers (MP) and Missions/Rewards. In their recent video they said "We're seeing some delay". I played for 8 hours last night and I NEVER get the gold from any mission or XP until I logged out and logged back in. I play A LOT of games and have NEVER had that problem. NEVER. No I remember back during the closed beta, they had this problem and they were telling us "We're working on a fix!". That's months ago.
If you can't get into the game (or with friends) and you don't get or have to restart the game everytime you want to get your gold. That means the functions of the game are not working.
Yes the underestimated it greatly. But that says a lot about their business manager, though I understand what you are saying about putting the money out for people who are only going to be around for a few days. That's a great point, thanks for that and I hadn't really put that to mind.
