It's not (always) denial, some people just play differently to you, and so for their playstyle and what they look for in a game, there is enough content.

Why do so many people think their opinion/viewpoint is the only relevant one?

When are developers ever going to learn to wait and not rush out games, i feel like it's just a full on open beta right now.
i mean were the game is right now they should have waited 2 months with full on open betas , not partial betas just 2 weeks before release, just like other betas of the past it only means that the game will be released with issues, just like this release has , and already three planned patches coming before this month is over. come on, this is what i would expect if the game was Free to Play , but a paid game come on make it good on day one, not this broken stuff.

I’ll be up front, I’m a Rare fanboy. I have loved a lot of the games they have put out since my first banjo-kazooie adventure. I have my critisms of certain aspects of this game but for the most part I’m in love with the game and graphics. The adventure is the draw.

And most open world games are either strictly single player and story based. This game is not.

Isn’t even my point. I don’t agree that people who enjoy the game and aren’t throwing tantrums about the content are “sucking up”.

Grand Theft Auto online, easy comparison to gamestyles. 10x's the content, also free updates. There is no defending the lack of content released when they had what they did at release. That is where sucking up comes in. You're defending something that's wrong. You might enjoy it, that doesn't make it right. Look at any reviews of the game, they all say its lacking.

While they don’t explicitly say 4 times the size, they do say that they want the map to be “much, much larger” on release. The 4 times the size may have been a speculation thread then, but I do remember talking about it at some point.

@paul-endri I blame most of the dissapointment on the community. Every single time I was criticising something during my 1 year adventure as an alpha tester, I was met with others telling me ''it's just alpha" or "this is just a single feature test, there are tons and tons of content coming, go away". Few months ago it was clear to me what this game is gonna be (and I was right) while a lot of other founders were spreading fantasies about the wonderful content that Rare is supposedly hiding. That's why the big dissapointment. That and Mike Chapman (Design Director) who keep on talking about "beautiful rich and living world full of unique adventures and secrets to discover" that never really happened. I believe he also mentioned being able to change sail size and few other things that didn't make it. To sum up, SoT is a cool and beautiful arcade-ish jump-in jump-out grinding game, not a grand adventure it was advertised as. It's great for what it is.

I just want..........

A full body for kraken
Variety in voyages
Different methods of earning money (Huning, fishing, collecting relics etc)
Different types of weapons and mechanics for the ships (boarding, grapeshot, mortors etc.)
cheaper price until more content is added.

@drachmul because there is quite a lot of suck ups who agree with every single thing Rare does even if it negatively affects gameplay.

@Lukzini yea i agree man it doesn't have enough content , but it's enough to keep me busy for a while and i expect them to add more stuff till i'm done with the current content. Why does everyone have to make a forum post about this topic ? i really don't know man it's stupid right now.

Honestly it's because people have gotten so pampered in modern cultures that they can put this much energy into their leisure activities. Seems people can't be happy that their lives are relatively easy and safe, so they get vitriolic and demanding about people who try to entertain them with games and movies.

@lukzini i did read before i wrote, i find this game way more fun when i make it fun. Do whatever you want its a sandbox game. Your free to do whatever you want. Your free not restricted like most other games do to the player. The content is what you make it to be.

It will get more content. However enjoying what is there is not being a suck up.
