Fuse on gunpowder barrel

  • Maybe they have discussed this already, but it would be neat if gunpowder barrels had a fuse you could light. 10 seconds maybe? Other players could de-fuse of course if they see it in time.

  • @jakie-treehorn not stopping anyone from just shooting it to blow it up.

  • It has been discussed a lot, and I think we will eventually see a mechanic like this. I have found myself in a situation where I would need a fuse a lot of times :)

  • @jakie-treehorn good idea

  • @jakie-treehorn splash water on it to diffuse?! :D

  • Not a bad idea at all, but there aren't many situations that I'd use it other than to save ammo.

  • Pretty sure hitting it with your sword used to light a fuse....which would fizzle out occasionally

Nah that's the same as when you hit it with a blunder from long range and it doesn't blow. I can't tell if thats a bug or just dud shots with them not being the trigger shot.

they should make that an actual mechanic. bug or not. it would be extremely simple to code.

  • @cwarrick66 it is a designed mechanic. X value of damage to ignite. One sword or stray blinder pellet = damage givin but less than required to explode. Two sword hits to detonate.

I meant just a sword strike to ignite a fuse. I could see a timed detonation being used very tactically.

  • That is a really cool idea and would add some fun!

  • @cwarrick66 yeah a timer function would be great but would probably cause too many longbeard issues. LOLOLOL
