@felid0r I don’t doubt that. But if this hasn’t been tweaked, it’s goid to bring it up.

@dar-catan this build probably just isn't very polished. We can't forget that this is a stress test and not another beta run. I'm sure in the coming betas they will be looking to fine tune these kinds of details if they haven't already.

I'll put in my vote for this as well. This was really the only issue I had this weekend. It was a bit of a strain reading on the TV from where I was sitting. All of the other text in game (riddle maps, voyage details, etc.) is just fine. If they scaled the NPC text boxes up a bit, that would be an excellent quality of life change for launch.

@dar-catan Actually the whole dialogue box can be larger.

@chassitchussit Exactly. I think the font they use is the first isssue. It has readability issues. Second is the font size they use throughout the game.

Yes. The whole point of playing on a 60" TV is that you don't have to sit that close... The current text size is barely readable if I sit on the sofa.

I was thinking the same thing when I played last night. I have perfect eye sight and I could barely read the text from where I sit. Even my daughter said “you can read that?” Needs to be blown up a bit lol

I'm on a pc so screen right in front me and I struggle with reading it at 720p. 540p is too blurred.

Yeah i was about to write that too. I'm playing on a 50" from 8 feet on my sofa and really can't see a word. Maybe I'm getting blind because of my age, idk, but an option to resize text would be much appreciated.

Can't agree more with this thread, I've not read a single thing yet as it's too small. And yes i am short sighted so my vision isn't great at the best of times but if your not able to adapt the text size please create a vocal version so i could at least hear them.

@tartansnake-8 This definitely affects any size screen. It’s either an early release design or poor design and font use.

@dar-catan - I need to get up and walk to my TV when I want to read the text. So I totally agree and hope they add an option for text size.

@brozplaygamez I think it’s all a great addition. But the UI still feels early in development.

@dar-catan agreed. I have an 80inch 4k tv. text is very small.

I did like the little voice additions though from the shop keepers. maybe they could just get the voice actors back to say the lines so the text becomes subtitles rather than forcing you to get out your own telescope in the real world to read what the npc's are saying!

I agree, I just went to the eye doctor last week and my distance is great, but even on my 55 inch the text was hard to read for this old man.

@hallower1980 Very few do. But a readability option is important to have. This includes bolder text, better sizing, font changes , kerning, etc.

@dar-catan A font option might be nice, but I have never seen one in a game. Have you? Maybe it's more common in PC games.

@hallower1980 A font, style and size option would be good for the UI.

Hopefully the game at launch will let players adjust the text size.

Yeah if you're playing on a TV it's definitely not perfect.They're going to need to change it before release and hopefully they do.

@amykittee I think this font and size on a monitor where you sit close, is a good size. But for sitting on a couch it’s a bad size.

@nunoazuldimeter Me too! It’s the thin stylized font combined with small size is not helping anyone.
