Are you a sea-faring artist with a penchant for painting the sea? Have a thing for doodling Krakens and mystical mermaids? We'd love to see your art work, videos, models animations or songs!

Feel free to link to or embed your original Sea of Thieves works to share with others!

As always be mindful of the Pirate Code, treat others and their work with respect.

I haven't recorded my shanty yet, but maybe before launch. It's a call-and-response song -- and I have ideas for instrumental interludes between the verses -- so it wouldn't be a quick and easy recording. "Heave Ho" is the title for now. A forum member requested I add the verse about the kraken.

    heave ho! heave ho!
fetch up the lines and raise the stone
    heave ho! heave ho!
open her sails and let her go
    arrgh, aye! arrgh, aye!
chase the wind and plead the sky
    arrgh, aye! arrgh, aye!
we probably will sail until we die

    heave ho! heave ho!
what do you see from up high, crow?
    heave ho! heave ho!
nothing but blue and sailors old
    hold now! hold now!
i see a ship afore the prow
    cannons now! cannons now!
sing 'em a surly thunder, how!

    heave all! heave all!
we'll chase 'em through the blackest squall
    heave all! heave all!
boom! and crack! and crash! and snap!
    heave, yell! heave, yell!
    iron forged harder than hell
    heave, yell! heave, yell!
ye gotta live to tell the tale

    kraken ho! kraken ho!
man the cannons! give it all
    kraken ho! kraken ho!
we barely scratched the beast! where did it go?
    captain, fly! captain, fly!
but i can see its evil eye
    captain, fly! captain, fly!
probably will chase until we die

    gold ho! gold ho!
every man will swim in gold
    no gold! no gold!
bury the captain in the bloody hold!
    arrgh, aye! arrgh, aye!
    none survives the empty prize
    arrgh, aye! arrgh, aye!
we probably will sail until we die!

I'm currently working on writing a tab for becalmed on the Ukulele, I'm not too great at the Ukulele and the tuning isn't right for one note..I've done the whole song but it's missing a little bit. If anyone is a better Ukulele player let me know, I'll gladly send it over and hopefully they can make it better :)

We would put something together, but his pug gets seasick.

@pokepaws Having been in the cartooning end of the world for over 60 years I think I can recognize talent (at least I think I used to) when I see it. Have you published?

@khaleesibot This is the mollusk- mans . If they were in the game my purpose on earth would be complete.

@wolff34 Thank you so much, honestly that really made me smile.

I haven't! I've done bit's of freelance work and some commission work here and there but never anything huge! Honestly I'd love to make a comic or a children's book or something, it's a nice goal to work towards!

  • 1

@ii-mikez-ii Sound's good! :D I'm thinking of working it out by chest type's, starting at a sketch and with more expensive chests go up to being coloured, lined and a background and such just brainstorming at the moment but I honestly feel like this could be a fun trade!

    @pokepaws Unreal work man.

Lovin' the fan art I see. Just started on another pirate sketch since I'm busy with many more sketches as well, but for the mean time I'll just re-post this Sot art of Mike Chapman, Joe Neate, and Sir Kringle(bartender).

@senor-mikey Thanks a ton dude, means a lot!

    @sir-kringle Love your stuff man!

If I could keep the pug sober I'd let him submit something.

  • 3

@pokepaws I had the honor of meeting one of the great cartoonist of our time back when I was 12 and he was doing a presentation and workshop for young people like myself. The one important message he gave all of us was get your work out there. Give it away if you have to, but keep getting it out there. You have talent, have fun with it, others will enjoy it and it just might get you started on the path to bigger things.

@wolff34 When I was in college I did a weeks animation camp with Aardman, it's so nice to actually chat and work with people who are or have been in the field before.
And that's what I'm aiming for! I have a lot of social media, most of the art I do is related to something I know someone will like, fanart for games for example, or just gifting something to someone of their own characters, it's a nice feeling.

Thank's for the kind words dude! Here's hoping we both get more work in the field!

@pokepaws Bravo! That’s what it takes to make it in this field. I’ve been retired now since 2003, but now I stay busy by doing pro bono work. Still like to see my work published and help someone at the same time. The last book I illustrated was by a divorced mother of three that wanted to help other women going through the same thing. No money for you, but a great feeling that you may have made a difference for others.
