    There is a good chance people fell into the same trap I did when I purchased the game it let me download the client, I (wrongly) assumed this would be used for the CBT and would be updated to full version for launch like most other CBT's I've played. After checking google this really wasn't the case and I found a solution to this issue here: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2018-01-24-sea-of-thieves-installation-how-to-download-pc-xbox-one-redeem-code-5001

    I have two games, normal game and Closed Beta game ... I am trying to launch the closed beta not the game !

    It sounds like they are screwing us who pre-ordered, seems only Alpha Testers have been able to access as of right now, keep seeing the same response from SoT too, "probably opening up the full version" Blimey, i'm not stupid. Get me on the game!

    I just tried to play the 'sea of thieves closed beta' on PC after pre-ordering it yesterday and fully downloading it; it doesn't work. Just to be clear I definitely clicked play on the 'closed beta' and it just keep saying too early!!!!

    Even though I've deleted everything Sea of Thieves, the closed beta still shows installed and I see no way to uninstall!
