Having seen how the Switch 2 has handled demanding third-party titles over the past year, it is clear that the hardware—supported by its modern upscaling technology—is more than capable of delivering a great performance for Sea of Thieves in both handheld and docked modes.

Expanding to this platform would be a massive win for the community by bringing in a fresh wave of players, and with your cross-play, it would integrate perfectly into the existing ecosystem.

I would love to see our pirate adventures move to a portable format. Thanks for all your hard work on the game!

However, I think the 'Nintendo factor' has changed quite a bit with the Switch 2. Since it’s running on a much more modern, standardized architecture compared to its predecessor, porting isn't the same struggle it used to be. Plus, with the advanced upscaling tech the console uses, a lot of the heavy lifting for performance is handled very efficiently.

Adding a new platform is always a challenge, but given the success of cross-play in Sea of Thieves, I think the potential for a massive, new player base outweighs the technical overhead.

We already see Bugs happening for different platforms, while the others dont encounter them. The switch will be its own buggy system.
If they can't handle PS, XB, PC. Doubt they wanna add another system just for sake of players count.

Plus...its Nintendo.
