Title says it all. Why couldn't they address at least some of the feedback (even if they're apprehensive) on other sources of doubloons especially skull of siren song? Developer updates really should start including some gameplay metrics akin to Apex, to give better context on the decision making.

I think they are worried about adding too much too fast when it comes to doubloons.

It's possible that SoSS might reward doubloons in the future, and them adjusting the Reaper chest value is a good indicator that they will add more sources. I imagine that as they add more items to Larinna/Duke stores, they will have to increase the sources of doubloons for any of it to be realistically purchasable.
