Way things seem to be posing.

We will get Ship Types but not what you expect.
They be based on the three types we have, and the outer appearance will change and nothing more.

Big ships will be still fall under Galleon category, Middle ships will be Brigs, and small ships will be Sloops. (maybe different names)

In fact, if players are expecting ships that can hold more than four players, they're going to be waiting a very long time. LOL

For a while now the community has been wondering when new ship types may be released and also if we’ll ever get our own private islands. So when the Grand Maritime Union comes to the game hopefully bringing new ship types, I was wondering how it will tie into Guilds and if we will get Guild islands that can be dived to and raided, maybe even defended?

What are people thinking the timeline is on new ship types and private islands?

Honestly, I don’t think we’ll get any news before June’s Xbox Showcase regarding the arrival of the GMU.

The only speculations we have are as follows:

• Possible release of A Pirate Life 2
• And it’s highly likely that the arrival of the GMU will be announced primarily through a world event.
• Possible expansion of the current map – perhaps due to the damage caused by their arrival and the fact that the Shroud is still out of the way – such as Forkasen Shores.

As for the new ships for players, as well as the private islands, honestly I doubt that will happen at the same time, so we’ll have to wait quite a while longer...
