This would stop forcing players to use a hitmarker design they might dislike and simply choose which one they prefer. This way bringing back the old hitmarker wouldnt hurt anybody and nobody would be forced to play the new hitmarker if they dislike it. Also there is not a single advantage that one of these hitmarkers would gain over the other so I dont see a reason not too add it.
There was already a post from about 6 months ago requesting this and it got a ton of views but sadly got completely ignored by the devs so i hope this raises attention again.

I'm a player that loves stacking loot and doing forts and I just think the new ones just hurt the aesthetic of the game, and really only remind me of overwatch.

It’s not even just preference, it’s an accessibility thing. Some players react better to the old hitmarker or find it clearer, so forcing the new one can make the game feel worse.

They should also let people choose whether they want the red kill marker on the old hitmarker too, since the new one already has it.

There’s no competitive advantage either, so it wouldn’t affect balance, just gives players choice. Easy win for everyone.

I’ll never understand how an account that is ten months old is asking for the ‘old hit marker’. They got rid of that before you were born. Where does your nostalgia come from? All those cringey YouTube videos with bad electronic music and players TDMing with 200 FOV and ‘Cursed’ graphics settings? What a reach.

To be fair, that's the forum account, not their game account that's 10 months old.

But I do think it's very obvious this is a co-ordinated campaign (probably from a Discord or Twitch community), and that is less likely to gain favour with Rare.

Although, personally, I have no issue with the current hitmarkers, so this isn't really something I care enough about.
