I feel like this would work well because the storm isn’t too difficult to get through despite the messed up compass if you just stay at the wheel and stop it from turning too far, and having you lose your sense of direction would make it more dangerous. Maybe it could even break your mast eventually, but that could be going too far.</p>

<p dir="auto">They had to reduce the spinning, and such because players hated it. Even made it so when your close to any island your ship wont really do anything.</p>

<p dir="auto">and yet, players seem to struggle. Otherwise they wouldnt need to nerf it so many times.  That goes for Hourglass only players who get stuck in a storm. Now a whirlpool? hahahaha</p>

If instead there were bursts through these whirlpools that make it much stronger, I feel like it would be much more fun travelling through the storm.</p>
<p dir="auto">It would also just in general be really nice to see more natural disasters like Waterspouts, Funnel Clouds, even Invasions of the Damned where there’s a chance that sailing through Damned Waters causes a few Ghost Ships to spawn on you</p>
