<![CDATA[Keyring Item - to combine all the ashen keys you collect]]>

With all the ashen keys I will need to collect, could we have a keyring item that we can attach the ashen keys onto? Their attributes could be:

  • carried in one hand
  • have a jingle sound as you walk around
  • keychains could come in variants with pretty keychain attachments with trading company symbols or skulls
  • there is a spot on the ship to hang the keychain so you don't lose it in the treasure pile
  • this could be extended to other newer key types
  • to unlock any chest, you hold the keychain with the keys and if it detects the key that fits it will give you a prompt to unlock

Honestly the keyring idea is actually kinda nice.

Half the time in Sea of Thieves when you’ve got a pile of loot on deck the Ashen Key just disappears into the stack somewhere and you’re digging through everything trying to find it again. Keeping them all together would actually help with that.

The cosmetic keychains and the little jingle sound is a fun touch too. Feels very pirate-y.

Only thing I’m not really sold on is carrying it in one hand. That might get kinda annoying if you’re moving loot around or in the middle of something. But having a little hook or spot on the ship to hang the keys would actually be pretty cool.

@unblinkingmass7 That is actually a really good idea. As I was reading your post it reminded me a scene from "Le Samurai", when the protagonist used a keychain were all the keys of different kind of cars were collected.
