<![CDATA[Logging in on the main menu screen (steam)]]>

On the main menu screen of "Sea of Thieves" on steam, it will ask you to login with your Xbox (Microsoft account) and all of your save data will be on there.

However, today every time I loaded into to the game it kept on asking me to login. I'm like "ok, I guess". I think nothing of it. I play a good two hours of the game and log off.
I come back, load up the game and it asks me to log back in again?

Is anyone else having this problem on steam?

@mattthecopycat Windows key, then start typing Credential Manager. In there, click "Windows Credentials". You'll see a bunch of credentials that start with or contain "Xbl". I just removed all of those and then rebooted and made sure I was signed back into XBox / Gamebar and relaunched the game. The Steam version seemed to remember my login after that.

I had this issue and fixed it by removing anything relating to Xbox or Microsoft accounts in the credentials manager.

Probably a Microsoft requirement, since they'd prefer you to buy Gamepass to play the game on PC.
