Felt real good last night hitting a galley with an anchor ball and then two wraith balls back to back on a successful defense.

Think I'll keep it up if I get the chance.

Cursed balls are AMAZING and ya if you run into a crew that’s a hard fight or you are about to get off…

I’ll curse spam ships all day long, those don’t do much for me in my inventory.

I take it as a compliment if I’m cursed spammed, it means that the other ship has deemed me to mouth of a threat that they just aren’t gonna play with it.

And to the OP, ultimately the answer to "why do people get angry" is the same as to why folks get angry over anything else in the game. Because they are taking it too seriously lol.

I've been in VCs watching crews send 15 chains in their opening broad and then complain about the first anchorball that hits them. Figure that one out.

Supplies in HG aren't fixed and standardized like they were in Arena. People are gonna work with what they have and try to win how they can. It is what it is.

I disagree with @SweetSandMan though, keep the rarity where it's at haha.

Certain groups seem to take it seriously to the point of thinking they're in NAL. People can choose their own etiquette but thinking it applies to others is just silly. I've had this in gally hg where someone joined party to tell us how lost his respect for use of a curse 😅.

Never use one on dB tho I've seen a couple times where he doesn't use and if one gets used on him he curse dumps a storage crate worth of curses 🤣

Honestly I wish they would revert the rarity of curses back to what it used to be. Would definitely help to make fights not be an endless reset-fest.

LOL, I got called a few bannable things all because I heard them grab our ladder and I guarded. Guess I was supposed to just let them up? LOL

Is it annoying? Sure sometimes. Do I have an issue with them? Nope it's literally a tool in a sandbox game you utilised to win, I can't be mad at that.

@burnbacon most the times the crews that spam invited after we sink them are angry 15 year olds. So I think you’re onto something.

Why is using cursed cannonballs in hourglass make crews so angry

Mainly the ones who dont spend time collecting and "Preparing" they just wanna go in with 400 cannon balls they bought and take off. Not deal with these "Peaceball, Vomit ball or ballist ball?"
