It's not an exclusive though. It's also on PC

It is part of Gamepass. So if he gets Gamepass he should be able to play it via the web browser. Unsure if this works on the PS5 but I can try it tonight.

Newer Samsung TV's include a Gamepass app so that could be an option for him if he has that TV

I would really like that, it would definitely be better for the game. There would be more money coming into Rare and more players, which would probably result in more content.

I don't see why Microsoft couldn't make an exception for SOT, despite being very popular it's definitely not a game that makes most people think about choosing an Xbox over a PS.

@otherfanboy The only one I listed that could even be considered a "flop" was Redfall, and it was not that bad of a game anyway after it was patched. The only two IPs I mentioned that have not had releases yet are Blade and Indiana Jones (though the first Hellblade was multiplatform after a brief exclusivity on PS, next one will be exclusive to MS platforms). And I left a LOT off my list which was just to make a point - Microsoft has MORE potential exclusives than SONY and a lot more than you let on.

Tho we're more likely to find a Shrouded Ghost than Sony agreeing to let them. Sony fought hard against cross play on Minecraft

Microsoft also has a ton of IPs and developers, even more so after the Activision-Blizzard acquisition was completed. The three you mentioned are hardly the "only exclusives" Microsoft has as I showed with a brief list.

Easier for your friend to get an Xbox or capable PC than to have Microsoft give up one of their more popular and unique exclusives.

yeah that isn't going to happen with the partnerships that the company has.. but if your friend gets a computer.. or has one.. xbox market is typically on them and all they need is a game pass to play.

Microsoft basically owns rare. They are not going to provide one of their exclusives to their competition.
