Alright, yeah, to be fair I can see where you're coming from there. It's hard to not be bitter when you're stuck doing it all alone only to find out you missed something and have to repeat the whole tale. And that's ignoring the case of commendations bugging out and not completing no matter what you do.

The Monkey Island shanty is the reason I 100% all 3 tales for Legend of Monkey Island and it felt so so good. It does help that the tales were awesome in their own right. And honestly, I want more of that. Not just to get more shanties but to get the sense of accomplishment. And that's why the Monkey Island shanty means more to me than any other.

If you really care about getting new shanties in the game, hope they don't cheapen it or else you'll miss out on the feeling. Seriously. It's the best feeling.

Sorry, guess I was a bit critical about it. Just don't lock them behind AN ENTIRE TALL TALE!! If it's just a commendation like get super drunk with your galleon crew and play an entire shanty together, then yes, i'd be fine with that.

If Rare ever needs resources for their endeavors, and resources just means money, then releasing shanties for purchase in the emporium is the easiest cash grab. I can't speak to each example you share because I don't understand how licensing works for copyrighted songs per country. But Agreed sir!
