I propose a new fish; the shrouded flounder. It'll be exceptionally rare, and landing it will require multiple phases:

1 Normal fishing, but with dramatic "shrouded flounder" music.

2 Defensive action - the shrouded flounder clamps its powerful jaws around your fishing pole, and you'll have to dislodge it before it shatters the rod.

3 Exhaustion. The flounder is weakened, and seeks deeper waters. Line must be paid out as well as reeled in, finally introducing a use for pushing the rod forwards.

Between each phase is a small interlude where the shrouded flounder roars and tosses a tiny fireball.
