<![CDATA[I swear Rare Fish Spawns are bugged...]]>

Spent a good few hours at mermaids hideaway yesterday, it's out the way, has a pond in which I decided to happily fish for Pondies.

Plenty of Charcoal, Night varient (whatever it's called), and the orchid ones, both standard size and trophy but not a single rare varient in the 3 hours.

Now, I understand "Rare" varient, but surely in the 3 hours at least 1 or 2 should Spawn right?

Mermaid's Hideaway is a great Pondie spot. You can stand on the rock in the middle and melee enemies can't get to you.

The grind to catch rare fish feels soul-crushing.

I've always thought the rng on rare fish has been all over the place. I fished for 2-3 hours in the pond on Devil's Ridge (my favorite pond area for speed, cooking, and the environment-waterfall) and ended up catching 2 rares. The catch? They were nearly back to back. The first hour and a half? Nope. I have yet to catch 2 of the rarest. I'm only level 36 of hunters though.

Aye I think I may do so... It's not just Pondies either. Spent a few hours (wasted hours from being killed XD) fishing for devilfish, every other varient but the Rare one.

Only time in the past few days I found a rare fish was by chance in a sunken wreck, cooked umber splashtail

Open a ticket, reason I say that is there was recently a change to pond fishing, as I recall it had something to do with forts, so it may very well have introduced a bug.
