@haltzo5045 this was debated WAY back when the portals first came out with Season 3’s update. HOWEVER, a copy of the flag is left behind for anyone chasing the ship who wants the emissary for fairness. Otherwise, your suggestion was considered before and they chose against it, which I agree with.
