I'm going to start by saying that the IPG isn't my favorite thing about Sea of Thieves. I think most people would agree with me on this, that we would probably rather create our own unique-looking characters. But, I understand you don't want a bunch of Barbies and Kens running around out there, so I concede that this is probably the best way to do it. However, I think it could use some tweaks for a better quality of life!

1. Allow favorites to remain favorites between IPG sessions.
Currently, there's a bug going on, it seems, with the IPG where you can't select a pirate to change to. I've reported this, and I've written about it in the forums, and in the official Discord. However, this brought to light something that would have made life easier the next time I tried. As we know, finding the "perfect" pirate that suits you is difficult, since you maybe get 3-4 looks per roll. You have the ability to save up to 3 per IPG session. However, since this has a tendency to "bug out" it would be marvelous if the favorites you select during your IPG rolling could stay as favorites until you can get the pirate of your choice, even between IPG sessions. This would alleviate a lot of the disappointment surrounding the IPG as the "loss" one might feel when they receive an error, would no longer be so great.

2. Allow the player to specifically choose the gender of their pirate.
Currently, you spawn a random number of male and female pirates, but this makes it more difficult for players to find a pirate that they like quickly, without incurring a timeout error (Gingerbeard/Lavenderbeard). If there has to be a timeout process, then allowing a user to specifically choose male vs. female would make it a lot faster.

3. Allow all generated characters to show all features.
Currently, there are several poses that hide whether or not a character has their teeth for example. I was bamboozled, personally, the first time I rolled a pirate. She was lovely, but when she opened her mouth she was void of teeth. Let me tell you, that's a jarring discovery. I'm fine missing a few teeth, but the complete lack of them? Yikes! So, naturally, I had to re-roll her. The ability to see all features of a character before "wasting" a potion, would be nice.

These are just a few examples that I could see being beneficial to the player base at large, surrounding the IPG, which many people agree with needs a good looking at.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Ah yes, that would be fantastic! The ability to see the entire pirate and facets thereof.

All of this is just perfect. Especially your first suggestion. I've been trying to change my character for DAYS now, and every single time after spending hours spinning through characters that look like Chernobyl babies, whenever I finally find my "perfect" character, I go and click enter and the game bugs out, it gives me some gingerbread error that I can't seem to find anything about online, and then I lose my character that I wasted hours of my life finding!

Yes, I've reported the Gingerbeard/Lavenderbeard bug, and I'm still waiting to hear back on it. A Community Manager and Moderator I spoke to yesterday on the Discord have also reported the bug and provided more information that I gave to them personally, so I'm really hoping we hear something back about it soon.

No pirate is perfect, and yours doesn't have to be either. We're not looking for Pirate Barbie here - if you are, then you're missing the point of being a dirty, gritty, scoundrel of a scallywag. Be proud of your Chernobyl baby, I say! All you gotta do is find 1 that is good enough.

And here is where I get confused. No such thing as the "perfect" pirate.
Since if there was such a thing, nobody would be rerolling there pirate to begin with.

See, I definitely mentioned just this in my OP. I'm not looking for Pirate Barbie/Ken, I'm just looking for a few features that are important to me. I don't want to have the linebacker body as a female, or be Mrs. Chubbs. I'm more interested in a Methany-esque character, so that's what I'm looking for while I'm rolling pirates. I want my character to have a decent bit of teeth, I'm not looking for a gummy grama, but I am looking for something that is unique and unusual-looking.

and...so? You gonna see your own pirate mouth?

Yes, I'm aware of what my character looks like, and I often play with a lot of people so we're dancing, doing emotes, sitting on the ship, etc. So yes, I will see my own pirate mouth. Clearly, you and I don't play the same way.

Regret? But you chose to pay to reroll...only regret is you chose to pay :p

Allow favorites to remain favorites between IPG sessions.

Im to understand, you want to keep those random rolls you have Favorited from one Roll, and when you decide to Redo/Reroll and pick a new pirate, your Favorites from before will be there.
In away, kind of removes the whole "random" cause who to say you will ever redoll again, you are holding a selected pirate creations that may end up appearing down the road. Preventing anyone else from ending up with them.
So your wanting to Save/Fav some pirate appearances you may or may not even pick.

Remember you have to pay to reroll...
