This is a relatively small suggestion for quality of life and a bit of immersion.

Striking Trees drops fruit.

Striking Trees drops wood.

These are just some small suggestions, its not 100% every time but it's common enough to promote doing so to every tree, specifically when needing to fill a merchant request by filling a crate. Im not trying to turn Sea of thieves into one of the many, crafting survival-esque games so I don't think trees should be in any way damaged or change shape, but I think adding these two features to trees would allow some flexibility other than just endlessly searching island boxes, or simply purchasing all materials required. (Double-y so for the purchases as the gold for completing these requests does not equal the actual cost of materials.)
I believe this is a simple quality of life change that can add some depth to Sea Of Thieves' gameplay.

This is kind of like how people jump a lot while moving around because it adds something to fill the void of getting from point a to point b

I think it would add quite a bit of that void filler without hurting the experience of anyone else and without upsetting any balance to the environment.

monotony breakers can be pretty useful imo
