@wuetendewolke Depending what you do, you can get a flag to grade 5 in just around an hour, if you dont have time to do that, then its not too much of a big deal i dont think, unless you get lucky it will only be a small bit of loot you got if you have less than an hour to play.

Every emissary is already really easy to get 5 in, no point in "saving"

Emissary Flags are a streak modifier. If you log out, you stop the streak. There is zero chance they will let you keep the flags.

@burnbacon I just want you to keep the flag over different sessions. As soon as you are sunk, you lose it.

@zedny3434 Why is it unfair? It just makes it easier for players who can't play for several hours in a row. And if you get sunk, you're back at the beginning, like a new player.

@xzodeak Yes you need a good way to leave the session. Maybe just stand at an outpost for 10 minutes to log out.

@goldsmen It is about the level of the flag. It just takes a relatively long time to get it to level 5 and I can't always play that long. Besides, as a Reaper it is much better to sink level 5 ships.

@super87ghost This should not work. Maybe your ship just stays on the server for 10 min and if no one destroys it, you can log out.

No. You have too many crutches already.

When you have the license, the flag is free, so theres no reason to save it, lower it and you get money, raise it and you lose nothing.

@wuetendewolke wouldn't mind emissaries saving between sessions on Captained if that's what you're talking about but they would first need to introduce a way of properly leaving a session.

You represent a faction, you lose that flag you disappoint them. Lost your money

Both of which are a no from me.

Sea of Thieves is a session based game. No matter what you do in one session, it won't affect your next. Only gold, reputation, and cosmetics are persistent.
If people could save anything between plays, it would give an unfair advantage against new joiners.
