I've probably done over 100 of these now and in my experience, 10% have some issue of either the ship not spawning and the manifest just floating, or no key despite obsessive searching.

Most of the time, it is a missing ship and floating manifest.

I still like doing these voyages as they are very profitable when they work but its a shame they are still buggy. Great to do right before daily gold rush to quickly boost emissary.

@metal-ravage I've had that before but, this time round it didn't even have that. It just had empty ocean.

The last clue gave me a span of less than one square to search in for the wreck; no birds, no wreck, no manifest in that square of any of its surrounding - it was just disappointment especially on a "ghoul and glory" weekend.

Yes unfortunately there is a bug that causes this to happen. In my experience this happened after starting the session from the castaway's camp, something prevents the shipwreck for that voyage from spawning, yet the ship's manifest should be floating nearby as mentioned beforehand.

Aye, sadly this can still be the case... when a ship fails to spawn the manifest, however, should have been floating in the spot. Maybe another crew stole it though!
