<![CDATA[Idea for next Charity Event - SEA SHEPHERD!]]>

Ahoy Rare Team!

We've been playing sea of thieves for quite some time now and are enjoying it so much!
You've created an amazing game with so much attention to detail. You inspired us and that's why we'd like to pitch you an idea.

This arose from your first charity event when you offered to purchase the heart sail and donated the price to children with cancer. During the following weeks we watched a documentary called seaspiracy and it came to our attention that protecting our oceans is an important topic too. While "Sea Shepherd" was known to us for many years the documantary showed even more how much the ocean is in danger and needs our help.

Maybe you've heard of the organisation sea shepherd? They protect the oceans and are so called "good pirates". That's why we had the idea that with your game and community it would be the perfect platform to put up a similar offer like purchasing a sail or even a full ship set. There is a lot of potential to create an awesome hull or sail from the sea shepherd organisation.

It´s not only an idea about the design but also gives a lot of marketing potential to express a strong bond between "digital" and real "good pirates"

We are sure someone at rare can contact them to figure something out.

IIRC the Sea Shepherd has quite a long and shady past, certainly not as noble of a group when compared to organizations to benefit children's causes. I'm all for what they're trying to accomplish, but they're more in a grey area for me. Would be fun to have limpet mines in game though.

legit, their logo on some sails and flag would look so good, and ironically fit with the Shark hunter set

Hell NO!

Ethically they are correct in their actions, no doubt. They are conservationists doing the right thing.

Legally though, their actions over the years have been akin to terrorism.

They are threatening and endangering human lives to achieve their goals, and that fact alone should prevent RARE from going anywhere near these guys, let alone donating money to them!!
