<![CDATA[Final Thoughts on A Pirates Life]]>

In Short: Loved it.

The Good.

Amazing use of colors, environments, dialogue, characters, things to do (interesting puzzles), music (oh man the music was soo good), and straight up adventure.

The rewards were good. I enjoy the new shanty and the new cosmetics.

I enjoyed going off on my own and doing them.

The Easter Eggs (especially in the first one - hope you expand on that in the future eh) were awesome.

The Not So Good

It was a really bad launch. The version that first came out had lots of issues that didn't go through enough testing.

TT2 was my favourite and the most complained about because you put it in a shared world experience (when your own promo made some believe that it was all instanced).

The only voice actor that didn't fit was Davy Jones. The rest were good imo.

I think you took your ride experience from the park a little bit too much. I watched a video of the ride at the park (I've never been) and it could almost pass as a spoiler for some of the tall tale #3.

Overall. It is a great addition to the game. I hope it didn't strain the development and Season 4 has content coming.

Is it the biggest year yet? I think that's a little debatable for me. Certainly it's a good year (after a lot of worries earlier this year of whether or not there was content coming).

Keep it up Rare. I hope those numbers pump up for more SoT in the future.

I don't really know how "bad" of a launch it was.

I saw people making threads about things and I did run into bugs but overall it was fairly smooth for me.
I did a few of them like 15-20 times and the others around 5 each and really in my experience it wasn't anything I'd consider significant enough to ruin anything for me.

I'm not into PoTC so the voice thing didn't really bother me from a fan perspective other than Sparrow not being Johnny and being able to tell that the entire time was a little off for me. The actor in the game for Davy Jones had probably too strong of a voice though. Very distinct. Sparrow sounded like an imitator but it was a good enough imitation to where it wasn't as distracting. The entire time Davy was talking in the game it just made me thing of Fat B in austin powers lol

I get why he's off for people though, in my world that would be like if someone other than Bruce Campbell voiced Ash in a game. We like what we like so I get that part.
