It would be cool if you could attract sharks and megs by swimming with raw meat or raw fish in your pockets.

Megs smell fear and blood - that's why you will often see them appear during a battle.

@wolfmanbush thankyou for the info! that is great to know. lol I will be stealing some megs from people for sure.

You can't chum or guarantee them but you can increase your chances by doing 2 things

1. Spend time on islands about 15 minutes preferably. Spawns of megs tend to happen far more often shortly after leaving an island that just sailing around the open sea without any stops

2. Stay somewhat close to other ships and you can steal a meg from their spawn. More ships around = better chances of a meg spawn as well as skelly ships

some servers are just cursed though and nothing spawns or is around for long amounts of time.
