Some Arena Tips From A Legendary Sea Dog

  • Hello Fellow Pirates! I meet many people everyday trying to become Legendary Sea Dogs in the Arena and quite frequently people ask for tips. Some people even quit and never end up succeeding. I’ve decided to put together a short guide to the Arena with some tips and tricks to help newer and more experienced players become good enough to reach their goal and complete their grind.

    (1) - HAVE A POSITIVE MINDSET
Of all things you must do to become better at the game and to achieve your goals, especially in the Arena, this tip is probably the most important and the most difficult. It may not seem very useful but your gonna have to trust me on this one. If your constantly getting frustrated and upset, your gonna play even worse than you already are. You need to learn to keep calm, you’ll play better calm than angry, literally, I’m not joking, you will. You must understand that Legendary Sea Dog is not an easy goal at all and the frustration you have to go through is the same frustration that many other pirates including myself had to experience, your not alone. But once you manage to become patient with yourself and stay positive and happy no matter how hard it be, you will find yourself playing better and enjoying the game more. I didn’t start winning until I learned how to do this. It may especially become difficult when other players are being toxic and rubbing it into you whether it’s by dancing, bucketing, or typing something disrespectful in chat. At the end of the day, it just shows their lack of maturity, staying calm and positive even when facing these types of people can help you improve faster.

    (2) - DEVELOP A STRATEGY
You must develop a strategy that works the best for you and your crew-mates and gets you the most wins. My personal strategy changes every month or so because the arena is always changing and players are always getting better and smarter. Your strategy can be always going for the chest, or going 100% on cannons. Whatever works best for you.

    (3) - PLAY CONSISTENTLY
If you play every day, you’ll improve the fastest, that’s just how muscle memory works. It’s science. The more days you play in a row, the better you’ll do (with the exception of having occasional bad days, some pirates may have bad days more often than others). Try to play a few hours of arena everyday and see how much better you become.

    (4) - BE OPEN MINDED
Be willing to try new things like new weapon combinations, new settings, and other things of that sort. Listen to more experienced pirates and ask for their personal recommendations for things like this. Don’t ever be afraid to ask questions.

    (5) - ENJOY THE PROCESS
Don’t forget to have fun. The biggest thing you can do wrong in a video game is not enjoy it, that’s what video games were invented for, entertainment. Video Games are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, don’t let anybody or anything take that away from you. You might think the grind to reach Legendary Sea Dog is rough and annoying and you would just like to get it over with but you must learn to enjoy it. One day when you reach Legendary Sea Dog, you’ll look back at all the time you've spent in the arena, all the victory’s and defeats. All the good times and people you’ve met, it will will be a moment of pure joy, maybe even a little sadness if your that much of an emotional person. Just learn to enjoy the game-mode.

Well... That’s all from me for now folks, if you have any questions, don’t be afraid to ask. You can reply to this post, or message me, I’m always willing to help so if you have any extra questions or would like some more tips, just say the word ;)

  • Good one! I usually just spend my time in open crew galleons when I’m bored and just see where it goes. I only have 36 wins, but I don’t really care. It’s something to do.
Tips from this Glorious Sea Dog: play the game and don’t care with randoms. With your friends, listen to what the guy above says.

  • @arctroopachedda yea open crew gally is pretty fun, I personally don’t do it anymore just because it’s super laggy for me but if your going into the arena just to have some fun when your bored, definitely a good choice :)
