Flameheart's Keep

  • Hi Rare! I have an idea...
    This idea came to me while I was sleeping, I dreampt about it.

    It's about Flameheart's Keep. It's a humongous fort, twice as big as the Fort of the Damned. But this fort isn't on any normal map, oh no. It's in the Sea of the Damned. You'll have to acquire the 6 Flames of Fate, 3 Ritual Skulls, and another crew. But how do you get there? It is in the Sea of the Damned, no? Yes it is there, and the way you get there is through lighting 6 braziers hidden on The Glorious Sea Dog Tavern rock formation at K12. With the 6 Flames of Fate to open a portal in the gap of the rock formation, big enough for any ship to pass through. And that is how you travel to Flameheart's Keep. But that's only the first step. The second step would be to activate it. And that would be where you do the same asif you're at the Fort of the Damned. You light the 6 braziers, place the 3 Ritual Skulls, but then you'll need to sacrifice one of each crew that's participating, and you would've envoked the wrath of Flameheart himself. Wave after wave of skellies, Shadows of Fate and a Skeleton Lord's Ghost (like Briggsy, Graymarrow, Rathbone, the Ashen Lords) that has to be defeated. On the last wave, Flameheart's Ghost would be the last one standing that needs to be defeated. His Ghost would be very hard to defeat, BUT, like the Ashen Lords, he'll fall down to reveal a weak spot. And after revealing his weak spot about 3 or 5 times, his Ghost would be defeated. There you'll get a key, and you'll be able to open the vault. Rare, you'll be able to decide on what loot may be there. Maybe a new chest? Like maybe Flameheart's Box of Riches? (Just a thought tho)

    BUT doing this comes with a price. Once you've activated the fort, a giant notification or sign will show that the fort is activated. You'll also see that, if you're on the Ferry of the Damned, the sign is activated from the Northern side. It'll be displayed for all to see.
    Players in the same server would be able to come to Flameheart's Keep, IF they can activate the portal to the fort with 6 Flames of Fate.

    And with all that said, I should end this idea. Rare, you can use this idea if you want, or not. I came up with this idea, so I am just as happy to take it back.

  • Cool idea. Personally I think that the portal should stay opened until the fort is completed and the crew that summoned it has left the Sea of the Damned. That way anyone can see it open and pass through even without the flames of fate.

    Well yes, I do see that as a complication, but that can be arranged. By Rare, obviously. Maybe the intruders (the people that want to steal ya loot) have to muster up only 1 Flame of Fate? OR maybe they have to light all the braziers with their lantern (without a Flame of Fate). Just to make it easier for them.

  • What happens when u die at this fort do you go back to the sea of thieves on a version on the ferry that's not cursed to purgatory???
