Why pushing forward fishing rode ?

    In the middle of fishing, it is possible to lean the fishing rod forward.

    I wanted to know what it is for ?

    Afaik the forward motion is for reeling in tired fish faster.
    I always hold forward then wiggle from left to right when reeling in, thought this was the standard.

    I tried and I actually feel that it is faster to recover the fish.
