Its the player interactions that make this game. PVE only would destroy it. I am nit always looking for PVP, often I avoid it. At no point however would I want it removed. Looking over your shoulder and identifying threats makes the game fun. If I am collecting chickens, trust me I do not want to fight you (especially now that Rare decided to turn them into glass chickens), but I still want you there.

I had almost same thing that happened to me. I bought this game called Farming Simulator. So I load in and I was like what the heck is this? I was surrounded by all these empty fields and I was supposed to like fertilize them and grow wheat? Ummm what? I am no farm girl.

Anyways on a serious note maybe should mention SOT is PvPve adventure mode if it does not so any confusion would be squashed. Also consumer responsibility to research and know what they are buying.

Seriously man, light research, just reading the descriptions make it crystal clear that players or not by default going to be your friends.

You experience is due to your lack of understanding what you are reading, not enough reading... the information is super clear! It sounds much like a you problem.

It is the consumer's responsibility to research and understand a product before purchasing. I don't think it's that hard to do a bit of surface-level research to know what kind of stuff goes on in this game.

PvE-only would not work for Sea of Thieves and would ultimately hurt the game. Sorry that doesn't work out for you.

Too many players would farm gold and reputation in the PvE servers, playing on the normal servers only when they want to fight. This would mean most every ship on the normal servers would not be carrying much loot. Most SoT players are not PvE or PvE. We are PvPvE. This means we focus on PvE content and take PvP opportunities as they seem interesting. Splitting it into two modes would wreck this. Sure, we could try do both on the normal servers, but most battles would not yield anything valuable if players use the PvE servers to farm in safety.

Anyone who simply googles a game, can see it has Trailers and game descriptions. Maybe if possible, translation was misleading or somewhere it was misread. idk

Not even going to lie, this is probably true to be fair. If they did segregate the servers, I also believe the PvP ones would be pretty empty.
I think everyone knows that secretly and that’s why there’s such a debate on them.

Personally I think PvP is essential in the whole experience as a whole and the game definitely would have had tonnes more issues, especially early on in release if it was separated.

The OP is not asking for the game to change. I am guessing they downloaded it through Gamepass. I’ve downloaded games just based on the picture. The games are free. I can see how they believed that PVP was not a factor. The description within their language is not clear. It is not the first time translation has been a problem within this game. They are just asking for a little more clarity in the description. The OP’s request seems reasonable.

Mate, reading the translation? That does suggest Adventure is a PvE 'experience'. It's not. You can meet friendly types who'll help you out, but 5/7 of crews are pure dishwater. You got a bit unlucky with that session. Heaven knows, we've all been there!

It takes a while to realise that the 'thieves' bit of the title is relevant, so keep a weather eye on whatever's around you.

It's a fun game, so my advice would be to give another chance.

The last thing you want to do when you buy a game is do little to none research. If you are going to spend money on something, the best thing would be to read and do research about what it is right? Even tho, you don't need to do much research. The game is called Sea of THIEVES. Not Sea of PVErs. Thieves is equal to Pirates. Pirates are known, mostly from fiction that they steal, sink and kill.

This is completly YOUR fault, because you didn't reasearch properly, so please, don't rant Rare or ask for PVE only servers please, because first of all, you didn't even konw what this game was about.

The logical deduction from reading that is that there was two modes, one PvP and one PvE.
I should not have to read the full website and look at 10 youtube videos to find out everything is PvP.

I'm frustrated because we had fun with the game, the game runs well on older computers which is a big plus.
But the PvP only part is a deal breaker for us, I just wish it was made clear from the start.

The amount of players asking for PVE only on this forum tells me I'm not the only one in this situation.

And, honestly, as much as I enjoy the game as it is, I do hope some day there may be a way for players, such as yourself, to find it more enjoyable.
