<![CDATA[INvisible Pirates]]>

Was Sailing the sea with a friend, we were on a Thieves Haven Legendary voyzge, came accross another pirate digging up items for his ship while they were some where else. I watched him jump into the water and he tried to board our boat, which I slashed him off the ship from the ladder, where upon he suddenly vanished from sight, all that could be seen occasionally was his name and at times his sword. Now I am not sure if this lag, a glitch or cheating, also my friend reported this other pirate killed him with one swing of the sword when my friend was at full health. I am pretty certain we weren't having lag issues.
So what do you all think was going on

I have witnessed this before as well but wasn't able to capture or reproduce it.

I have also witnessed pirates carrying invisible items, like a keg. I allowed someone on our boat as we were being friendly and had no reason at that time to care. He ventured down near the map table on our Brig and I hear the sound of a keg being lit. It wasn't until he dropped the keg that it appeared and exploded shortly after. That was some time ago though.
