I purchased the potion, logged out / closed game & when I logged back into the game I never got any option to change my appearance. Do you know if this is a quick fix? Or will this take months?

@musicmee As of today 18/11/2020 it's no longer working again.

I'd like to state clearly that when I first played this game, I was never given any choice to choose a pirate either. The game just started. (I never did the tutorial mission)

Now months on, I heard about the appearance potion, feel a bit robbed that I bought the game and now have to pay money to edit my character, but even more robbed that this feature is broken and just doesn't work :(

I purchased the poition from the store, went back to game, nothing happened... Tried to start adventure, nothing happened. Tried restart the game, just continues on the adventure. No luck :(

What I'd like to know, is why instead of it being a generator, why was it impossible for you to just let us create a character? Weve been already dedicated for so long to you, and put up with the bugs and issues that we've had to just to enjoy your game.. but it was to hard for you to let us get this one thing?.. says a lot about what you really feel toward us.

@musicmee Can you tell me what the issue with the potion was?

I used the potion on day one of update, and only now is his skin changing from white (pale) to a burnt like darkened skin. Is that happening to my new pirate now? Is the only fix to re-roll a new character?

@musicmee Many thanks for treating it quickly, boy oh boy my character will drop pants when ill find the right one!

It seems the wait is over!

An update on the Pirate Appearance Potion - issues with the potion have been fixed and it's now available to purchase again. Players who use it from this point should no longer experience issues and players who purchased multiple potions to try and resolve the problem will soon be reimbursed for any additional potions they drank. We'll be sure to let you know when those reimbursements have been issued.

It’s working again and now I remember why I hated IPG... Why not just giving us choices like gender, size, eyes, nose, etc.?

Well... some pirates have been waiting 2 years for this option, surely we can wait a little longer.
I would suggest a little more patience, don't want them to reintroduce it.... for it to just break again... do we now ? :)

They are working on it - it isn't a simple fix, unfortunately. All used potions will be reimbursed and all unused potions will be redeemable on the title screen when the issue is fixed.

This is just sad at this point, i was trying to find the character that i want (i love the roll the dice system) and i was trying to find a character and im not kidding for like 5-6 hours! And i still havent found any character that i want and the next morning i cant even use the potion appearance..........

@huckfinx probably east coast US because the update launches at 1:00 around were we are, he definitely couldn’t have used it after they disabled it

Think I used the potion.... probably around 1:00, maybe a little before.

Chose a pirate and logged back in around 2:45 or 3.
