It likes playing but sometimes can be abit rough. Also it has a tention of destroying your items when ignored for too long xD

No, they've always said at some point they will add an ingame store for future revenue of the company. I backup such a decision, truely (As long as the ingame store doesn't become, pay-to-win, which i wholeheartedly think it will not become.)
The store enables them to keep making content for the game and the community in the long run. A game wont survive long in terms of new and fresh updates, if it solely depends on the sales of the game. Game development is quite expensive these days, you know, and revenue keeps the wheels running, which in turn results in more content for us!
