If you've received an email stating that you'll be granted access to the Sea of Thieves Closed Beta, be aware that this is an upcoming phase and the Closed Beta is not live just yet. No date has been announced, but we'll be sharing more information on it soon!So are going to receive an email? Because so far I got nothing. Or is the email just for people who'll play on the PC? Can someone please explain?

I have maybe found a solution for the too early thing. I uninstall the game, made a wsreset and create an other Windows account and i can finally download the game on the new windows account without the message "game isn't unvailable". Hope it can help you.
Moment... how can that be, the purchase is bound to a specific Windows/Store account, how do you mean exactly? if you make a "another"(new?)Windows account you would have to buy the game again.
@maqer90fin So it's not important if we received the email or not? I (who pre-ordered) will get access to the beta either way?

I pre-ordered the game only on the Xbox back in Dec 10th and downloaded the beta on the Xbox yesterday. I didn't receive any email.

@rustyoldpirate I'm ready to be done beta testing the start button of the game, and would use this workaround. But now I've been kicked off my console by my spawn and must wait. Hopefully, all is well in an hour or so and I won't have to. Happy sailing!

Three hours late almost.. just for them to seemingly fix an issue relating to access. Surely all they have to do is flag up the issue with Microsoft and get them to rectify?.. This shouldn’t be a technically challenging issue for them to fix, but nearly three hours later here we are. Streamers seem to be playing without issue, and my friend has just told me that Microsoft’s, Xbox on team are now playing and streaming the beta from 14:30 but the rest us consumers are being left waiting like chumps!

I found the work around or fix or what ever you want to call it. Do not use the preorder game as the beta. Go to the Microsoft Store and click on the Sea of Thieves Beta game. I just downloaded it and yes it is working. It's a bit misleading as the hub does not show it. You have to manually search it in the store.

I only did it on the Xbox. So is the email to those who downloaded on the PC or what?
@megagamer96 Only email I got was about the order, no code. I searched the Beta in the Microsoft store on PC and downloaded it there.
